Gucci Eyewear

Gucci Defines High Fashion

Perhaps the first designer in the world to brand his own name, the House of Gucci instantly connotes an image of high fashion.

Long known for it’s stylish, haute couture Italian designs, Gucci eyewear has been framing the faces of famous people—as well as ordinary folks—since the 1990s.

Modern with a Touch of “Old World” Charm

The Gucci eyewear line—known for its strong personality, distinctive details, and unique shapes, and bold colors—is comprised of plastic, metal, and titanium eyeglasses that combine a look of modern Europe with a touch of old world charm. Recognized for their subtle design, exquisite materials, and elegant style, the collection is the epitome of a well-manufactured frame. Although more subtle in design than the other accessories in the House of Gucci, some of the styles in the eyewear line do incorporate the double GG emblem and stirrup motif for which the design house is recognized the world over.

Innovative and advanced in their manufacturing techniques, the current Gucci collection—noted for its original, modern, and cutting-edge designs—is also grounded in tradition and classic style. For example, Gucci style number 1180 is a unisex model that makes a statement with its squared-off shape, comes in black orange, black blue, black yellow, and crystal black. While Optyle, with its boxy frame and temples adorned with the G texture pattern and glittering black or fuchsia diamond diamante, is more suited to the avant garde consumer.

Distinctive Sunglasses Known the World Over

The sunglass line—known for its distinctive wide temple—includes many classic-style frames like 1651, a unisex, plastic, rimless wrap-shaped frame that comes in four colors: yellow gold, shiny black, rhodium, and dark ruthenium.

The chic style 1776 sunglass is a nylon rimless cat’s eye shape available in a lilac, mauve, light gray, and gray azure luthenium finish. Model 2456 suggests a more sober mood with color ways in dark Havana/brown, black/dark gray, blue smoke/blue gradient, and military/khaki.

Rectangular-shaped and available in a mirrored finish, 1784/Strass, for both men and women, is rimless and comes in seven colors, ranging from a blue shaded style to a brown mirrored shade. The smaller, oval shaped 1774 is a rimless unisex frame available in gray, brown, lilac, and gray azure mirrored.

Setting the Standard for High Fashion

Gucci set the standard for the ultimate fashion accessory when stars like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Peter Sellers donned the product. And while stars still wear the label recognized as one of the world’s most famous fashion icons, today Gucci frames are also worn by business executives as well as athletes, and professionals as well as homemakers. Truly, Gucci eyewear offers something for any discerning wearer who values elegance and taste.

Indeed, Gucci sunglasses carry on a design tradition initiated in 1921, when the patriarch of the company began his empire as a leather goods company in Florence. Fast forward to 1953 when Gucci opened its doors in New York City and initiated what is now a global presence.

A Pioneer with a Traditional Base

A true pioneer in the fashion design business, Gucci continues a tradition that originated decades ago and today exemplifies the breath and depth of a design house recognized the world over, offering fashion and style to a broad marketplace. With its eyeglass line firmly established, Gucci has once again demonstrated the company’s versatility and commitment to modern, innovative style and fashion.
